ORIGINAL PAINTINGS | Not Trash | A Collection of Small (but mighty) Paintings

• Food Illustration
• Portraits
• Fun Objects

Heading to the recycling center is part of my weekly chore rotation. One morning as I was sorting through plastic, glass, and cardboard, I started considering how I could upcycle my “trash.” And that’s how this project started.

I cut up cardboard into little square canvases. I got to 30. Each day for a month I drew on a canvas. My upcycling project turned into a 30-day drawing challenge for myself.

Sometimes, sitting down to draw can feel intimidating. Negative self-talk creeps in, and I sometimes feel like trash. After those 30 days of drawing, I felt pretty good viewing my collection and my garbage never looked better.

Each original painting is available for purchase.
You can find them in my shop.
