Detroit inspires me every day. It’s my home that I’ve done a lot of growing in. I gathered articles from various Detroit publications and used them as inspiration to direct this collection of editorial illustrations. These illustrations feature some of my favorite places in the city of Detroit.

Based on Mark Stryker’s article, “The end, and a new beginning, for Detroit's iconic Heidelberg Project”
Based on Robin Runyan’s article, “Welcome to the Commons: Laundry, coffee, and community on Detroit’s east side”
Based on Daphne Hughes’s article, “Rediscover Detroit: Lafayette Park”
Based on Susan Selasky’s article, “Supino Pizzeria, known for its thin-crust pizza, opens a second location in New Center”
